Jalalpur Pirwala Jalalpur Pirwala(Saraiki/Urdu: جلالپور پیروالا) is a tehsil of Multan District.[1] This city is about 88 km from Multan. Jalalpur Pirwala is a historical city. The population was about 300,000 in 2000 census. The city has agricultural background. Its latitudeis 29 30' 00' while longitude is 71 13' 00. Though it has some of the industrial resources as well. Flat land, full of nature's gifts, with the beauty of the most sweet language in Pakistan, Saraiki. The main source of the income of the area is agriculture and trade. A smooth income in foreign exchange is due to a large number of people working abroad. The regular supply of finances to their families from countries like, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Oman, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, United States of America and United Kingdom is also considered as addition for the local economy. There are 13 union councils in Tehsil Jalal Pur Pir Wala. Tombs Durbar Hazrat Sultan Ahmad Qattal is a shrine of Hazrat Sultan Ahmad Qattal known as Pir Qattal Darbar Hazrat Hafiz Sahab is based on a graveyard known as Chah Khairay Wala Darbar Hazrat Sheikh Ismail is in Basti Sheikh Ismail mouza Umer Pur. Hazrat Pir Qataal Hazrat Pir Syed Jalal-ul-Din Bukhari Surkh Poosh was born in 595 Hijri in Bukhara (Uzbekistan). He came to Uch Sharif (Bahawalpur Pakistan) from Bukhara in 642 Hijri and stayed in Uch Sharif till died in 690 Hijri. All is life he preached true Islamic teachings and converted people of the area to Islam. His Shrine is in Uch Sharif and is center of devotion for the masses. Hazrat Pir Syed Sultan Ahmad Qataal was born from the line of Hazrat Jalal-ul-din Bukhari in 949 Hijri and he was a born Wali (Saint). After completion of his religious education, he performed Hajj and after visiting the shrine of the Islamic prophet Muhammad (Medina Saudi Arabia) he visited Karbala Maulla, Najaf e Ashraf, Kazmain, Samara (Iraq) and finally started to teach religion in Bukhara. He came to Multan (Pakistan) from Bukhara and converted the tribes of Suldhara and Lukhwara etc. to Islam and in 990 Hijri he finally came to the city of Jalalpur (District Multan)and made the city his final destination. He put the foundation of this city and named it Jalalpur after his grand father Syed Jalal-ul-din Bukhari. This city is still very much inhabited and is known by this name. In some books it is called Jalalpur Sadaat but now it is known as Jalalpur Pirwalla. One day when Pir Hazrat Mukhdome Ali Sarwar was sleeping, birds were making noise in the trees. Hazrat Pir Sultan Ahmad Qataal noticed that these birds are interfering with the sleep of Pir Ali Sarwar, he ordered the birds to die. All birds fell down dead from the tree. When Pir Ali Sarwar awoke from his sleep, he said you are such a Qataal (The one who kills in the name of God). Since that day Pir Syed Sultan Ahmad was known as Pir Qataal. In addition to this there are other numerous miracle and found in books. He got married in a syed family of Seetpur (Muzaffarghar) and had three sons: Hazrat Alam Pir Bukhari, Hazrat Shah Ismail and Hazrat Syed Ilm-ul-din. He died in 1041 Hijri (1671 AD). After four generations, in the year 1157 Hijri during the reign of Sultan Ahmad II, Governor of Multan built his shrine with 200,000 Rupees. This shrine is priceless in its construction and Calligraphy. At this time Muhammad Shah Mughlia was ruling Delhi. The construction of this shrine was commissioned in 1108 Hijri (1688 AD) and at that time Orangzeb was ruling India. This matchless Shrine was completed in 50 years.
